Some Tourmalines contain tiny, parallel inclusions, causing them to display a strong chatoyancy and are cut en-cabochon to cats-eyes , which are rare- a collectors gem.
Tourmaline comes from the Singhalese (Sri Lankan) words 'tura mali ' – gem with several colors. Tourmalines come in a variety of colors, some have two or more colours, some even color-changing.
